"Freezers" in Valley Hockey Spring League!

The New England Freezers (Red) is on the ice this spring as part of the Valley Hockey Spring League. The team comprised of Cape Ann players (Gloucester, Rockport, Beverly) is 4-1 after a strong start under veteran coach and Freezers Director of Player Development Russ Hughey. The team kicked off the season with a 13-0 victory over Wakefield and has been on a roll since. Upfront the team is led by Eric Deplacido (15 goals), Connor Curley (5), and Cam Amero (4) while the defense has been solid with led by Adam Madruga and Finn McKay. Backstopping the team between the pipes is goalie Cody Burgess with 2 shutouts in 5 outings. The team begins June in 1st place due to the selfless team play of its players and is looking to make a playoff push. "This is a great team of very talented and coachable players that enjoy playing with and supporting one another. Their chemistry is great to watch and will lead to a lot of team success" says Coach Hughey. The team hopes to represent the Freezers in an upcoming tournament this summer to build on their on ice success.
