NACS "Champions" 2015 U16 Freezers Blue

The U16 Blue won the North American Summer Championship in Marlboro with a dominating performance. The team went 5-0 shutting out every opponent they played including the East Coast Militia in the championship game. The team averaged 4.8 goals a game while giving up none in return. It was great team effort with crisp puck movement, strong forechecking, a solid defense, balanced scoring and tenacious all around play. The first game was a 7-0 win over the Connecticut Whales behind 2 goals each from center Cooper Wolff and defenseman Derek Flynn.Kevin Remson added a goal and 2 assists. Game two was another 7-0 victory over the Connecticut Mongoose. This time the team was led by Max Lamora with 2 goals and an assist with the defense of Flynn, Jack Sullivan and Ryan Fitzgerald all contributing goals. The Southern Connecticut Stars fell to the Blue in game three with Joe Mack stepping in with 2 goals and Remson adding another goal and assist. In the semi-final the Blue took on their brothers in Green and walked away with a 3-0 win. Josh Rameriz talled 2 goals with Joe Mack assisting on both. The final was great fast paced game against the East Coast Militia. Goalie Chris Moniz made some key stops and goals by Mack and Fitzgerald sealed the championship win. A great end to the summer tournament season.
